Dr. Fan brings over 17 years of expertise in electrochemical systems, corporate leadership and capital market, with extensive experience in R&D, product development, and management. As a founding engineer of ZAERAS Technology, he spearheaded zinc regeneration, developed critical components and materials for the zinc-air energy storage technology, and led multi-million-dollar energy storage projects with utilities and industrial partners. Currently, Dr. Fan serves as a board director at ABOUND Energy and advises on technological advancements. He previously held the role of CTO at Zinc8 Energy Solutions. Dr. Fan earned a B.A.Sc. in Chemical and Biological Engineering, an M.Eng in Engineering Management, and a Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia, specializing in electrochemical system performance. He is also a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in British Columbia.
